Basketball center Frogner sets sights on NCAAs

HOMETOWN:  Scandia, Minn.

HIGH SCHOOL: Providence Academy

MAJORS: Biology and chemistry

WHY I CHOSE ST. OLAF:   I love the atmosphere. The campus is beautiful, the people are friendly and I love the basketball program.

BASKETBALL HISTORY: I have been playing since fourth grade. I started playing summer basketball after eighth grade for the Minnesota Metro Stars.

PRE-GAME RITUAL: Dance party in the locker room.

FAVORITE PUMP-UP SONG: “Thrift Shop” by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis (feat. Wanz)

FAVORITE SPORTS MOVIES: “Miracle” and “Glory Road”

FAVORITE TV SHOW: “Big Bang Theory”

FAVORITE RESTAURANT: Which Wich

THREE FAMOUS PERSONALITIES I’D HAVE OVER FOR DINNER: Doc Rivers, Blake Mycoskie and Ellen DeGeneres.

FAVORITE SPORT OTHER THAN BASKETBALL: Hockey

RANDOM FACT: I have been riding horseback since I was 2 years old.

BIGGEST DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE SPORTS:

[In college] it is a lot faster and you’re playing with higher-level athletes.

MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT AS AN OLE ATHLETE: Being on the All-Tournament team in California last year.

BEST ADVICE I’VE RECEIVED: Always be coachable and never give up.

GOALS FOR SEASON: Beat St. Thomas and go to the NCAA tournament.

PLANS AFTER OLAF: Go to medical school and become a doctor.
