Cloudgazing

After a stressful day of emotions,
I often feel confused and defeated.
Stargazing is a great healing potion,
making me feel like I have been treated.

Sometimes when I really need stars the most,
I frantically look up and I see.
When there are no stars to give me my dose,
I suffocate when I need to be free.

Cloudgazing might be more peaceful to some,
But I need the stars to remind my soul.
Clouds: I beg of you at night, please don’t come,
In my blissful mind you are the real mole.

Oh you nighttime clouds please exist to cease,
I must have stars to find my inner peace.
